A gubinge is a small (~2cm) almond-shaped fruit native to Australia. Gubinges contain one large inedible seed.  They are eaten raw or can be turned into a jam.

Wild-grown gubinge trees survive in harsh conditions.  Plants that grow in this manner produce fruits that have the highest vitamin C concentration of any known fruit.

Gubinge is also known as the billygoat plum, Kakadu plum, or murunga.
