Okra Blossom

December 8, 2012

Normally its the immature seedpod of okra that is eaten as  a vegetable, but the white to yellow flowers are edible too.

Harvesting is much less time-sensitive; mature seed pods become too woody to eat after a week.

And they are very pretty.
