Almond flour (or powder, meal, etc.) is well-crushed almonds that may or may not be skinned prior.

Almond flour finds most of its utility in European cuisine that developed alongside plentiful almond harvests.

As an ingredient, it adds moisture, a nutty taste–and calories.
