A roscón is a sweet Colombian bread shaped as a ring with a pocket that is filled. The bocadillo refers to the guava paste that fills the space. Bocadillo itself is a little vague–it refers to a “snack.” In the case of a roscón bocadillo, bocadillo colombiano or bocadillo de guayaba may be more appropriate.
This particular roscón bocadillo came from a small family-owned and operated bakery in the Normandia barrio in Bogotá.
