The arepa pabellón is an stuffed arepa offering from Budare’s in Bogotá. They are one of the most prominent Venezuelan restaurants in Colombia’s capital.
Though both Venezuela and Colombia extol the arepa as a staple dish, Budare’s specializes in stuffing arepas with classic foods shared between the two countries.
This arepa is modeled after the classic Venezuelan dish pabellón criollo and contains plantains (plátanos), shredded beef (carne desmechada), cheese (queso costeño), and black beans (caraotas).
