Duck confit is a classic French dish made from duck legs, though confit may be made with any meat. In this dish, the duck legs are salt cured then slow-cooked in their own fat to produce incredibly tender and savory meat.
During SXSW 2014, Kelis rolled around Austin in a food truck serving up these duck confit sliders with a ginger sesame glaze. In true food truck form, the sliders were accompanied by a helping of crisp coleslaw in the little cardboard boats.
This and more dishes were served up to promote her upcoming album entitled “Food.”
