Passion fruits vary widely in color, size, and taste, but all share a similar shape.
Outside, passion fruits may fall on a continuum of color from purple to yellow. They can be smaller than a lemon or larger than a grapefruit.
Inside however, each seed is encased by single chamber that attaches to the interior fruit wall. The flesh is very soft and the seeds are small enough to be swallowed whole or gently pop when chewed.
