Pasteleria Florida is a Bogotá staple. They have been baking for nearly 80 years in the same location. These days, the two stories of this grand cafe/bakery are filled with the students from the nearby universities, tourists passing through, or adults taking a break from work. Patrons may enjoy a number of coffees, teas, and baked goods, but the historic draw is Chocolate Florida.
Chocolate Florida is this bakery’s take on the classic Chocolate Santafereño. Here, Colombian hot chocolate is served with bread of your choosing (either pan blandito or pan francés–as pictured here) and queso doble crema.
Pasteleria Florida is located on the Septima in downtown Bogotá.
