Mamoncillos

oo-mamoncillos

Mamoncillos are a quick eat.  Split the thin but strong skin and squeeze to expel the little fruit.  The edible bright orange-pink flesh surrounds an inedible pit.

These mamoncillos were purchased from a street vendor in Santa Marta’s mercado proper: la esquina de la Carrera 11 con Calle 11.
